The Week in Pictures

September 5, 2013

It’s raining TrixieStar Frappuccinos on East Diversey! According Ashley Burke, the Society’s Director of Communications, “We’re very proud that Starbucks has chosen to emulate the TrixieStar to help market their sophisticated product brands. Trixies are the most desirable demographic group for advertisers, and our consumer buying trends serve as the conduit for tens of millions of retail purchase decisions throughout Chicagoland.”

Society Member Jenna O’Grady sheepishly sneaks out of the Starbucks on Webster after discovering that she didn’t have enough money to pay for her post-jog espresso drink. Jenna furiously realized that she left her wallet and Starbucks card on her Ikea dresser at home.

Caught on Film: Society member Jon Brown catches two people in the act of stealing his girlfriend’s 2001 Jetta from the parking lot at Clybourn & Marcey. The pair were later apprehended in the Pier One parking lot a few blocks north on Clybourn. Jon vowed to have the security system checked out at Loeber under warranty, and recommends that all Jetta owners consider using The Club.

Society Members Rianna Horton and Mari Maloney are all smiles while enjoying the first warm Wrigleyville night of the year. Friends Treena and Mark Hinton (Notre Dame 96′) can be seen to the right. Rianna is skimpily dressed in a new Gap top and sports her favorite beat-up pair of Christian Dior sunglasses — essential gear for seeing and being seen.

A gaggle of Trixies rendesvous before the Cubs game and ponder whether to donate money to the drummer in the foreground. Coincidentally, Kelly, Beth, and Ann have each donned identical khaki Gap outfits to wear to the game.
