All I originally wanted was to hear music in the kitchen. We now have fourteen audio zones. There are four people in the family, and one of them is away at college.
The installers are both named Dave. They spent nine days working in the ceilings and were very careful about the floors. The mudroom, wine room and third-floor hallway each have their own setting in the app. I asked for the names to be written out because I couldn't keep the abbreviations straight.
Jonathan has learned to operate it remotely. He was at the Denver airport when he texted me to check the mudroom. He had put jazz on in there. I was at East Bank, so neither of us heard it, but he was pleased that it worked.
The kitchen sounds wonderful. I can hear a cello properly while I'm making soup, which was more or less what I wanted in the first place.
There is also a screen that shows what everyone else is playing. On Sunday my son was listening to a podcast about another podcast. I left his zone alone.
