Buying a New Car Without Admitting the Old Car Is Fine

There is nothing wrong with my car. It starts every morning, the seats are comfortable and the massage still works. I am a little tired of the interior. That is the whole problem, although it took me most of an afternoon at the dealership to say so.

I went to see Gerald on Rush. He showed me the new model, which looks very much like mine. He explained the changes, and I could see them once he pointed them out.

We went through the lease figures. Changing cars now doesn't make particular sense, and Gerald wasn't able to make it look much better on his screen. I appreciated that he kept trying.

Then we got to the colors. The one I want is called something like Aurora Graphite Matte. They don't have it, and Gerald says it requires an allocation from Germany. I put down a deposit. I had gone in to look at interiors.

He thinks November, possibly. He'll call when he knows. In the meantime I'm driving home in a perfectly nice car, and I would prefer Jonathan not begin his questions with that observation.
