Dana had a spin-class credit expiring, so I used it. Whitney did not come. Someone asked afterward, but Whitney does her mornings at East Bank and had no part in this.
The studio was dark except for a candle at the front. The instructor was very enthusiastic and called me ‘warrior’ nine times. I started counting after the third because I thought she might be using it instead of my name.
She said I had shown up for myself. I had mostly shown up so Dana wouldn't lose the credit, but I appreciated the encouragement. It was much harder than I expected.
During the quiet part near the end I remembered that my good water bottle was still at Pilates on Webster. I was quite glad to have a reason to stop there.
The playlist was excellent. I asked the instructor where to get it, and she said it was on her profile. I'll have Dana send it to me.
