Following the February 22 election of Rahm Emanuel as Chicago's forty-fifth mayor, the Lincoln Park Trixie Society issued it's standard post-election assessment.
"We are, as an organization, aware of Rahm Emanuel," said Executive Director Ashley Munroe. "He is from Wilmette. We will not hold this against him indefinitely."
The Society noted that Mayor-elect Emanuel's extensive Washington connections and general aggressiveness were, in its view, qualities that could prove useful provided they were directed at the correct problems — including, the Board noted specifically, the continued shortage of covered parking on Armitage Avenue.
