The Week in Pictures

June 14, 2008

Trixification of the neighborhood can been seen through this older home, soon to be replaced by twin new-construction condominium buildings. Each building will have eight tight-‘n-cozy but comfortable apartments, with a classy Lincoln Park mailing address along Fremont Street.

A Trixie and her husband rear-end a neighborhood cafe employee with their SUV Stroller as they leave their quaint side street in exchange for the bustling activity along Halsted at Dickens.

Several Trixies and many of their boyfriends and frat buddies can be seen on the overcrowded deck of member Gina Martin near Sheffield and Webster. Gina, on the far right next to her boyfriend Mark, is celebrating her birthday. Soon the crowd will retire into her one bedroom apartment to open gifts, talk sports and office politics, and drink Miller Lites & Heinekens…… while admiring the new Kate Spade bag (in black) which Mark bought for Gina.

A Trixie waits for her friend outside of a store along Clark street. The friend’s black Jetta can be seen with its hazard lights on waiting in the background.

A dehydrated Trixie slurps down a Frappucino at the Starbucks at Clybourn and Webster, after a punishing 15 minutes on the Precor Transport at the Webster Place Bally’s. With her electrolytes replenished, she next plans to pick up her dry cleaning and then descend upon the Mega chain stores at North, Clybourn and Sheffield.
