The Lincoln Park Trixie Society today announced the suspension of all in-person Society activities effective immediately, in accordance with public health guidance regarding COVID-19.
"The Society does not suspend operations lightly," said Executive Director Ashley Munroe. "We have operated continuously since 1990. We have survived the dot-com collapse, the financial crisis, and two rounds of Starbucks menu redesigns. This is different."
Suspended activities include: The Annual Champagne Brunch, the Doodle Pool, all Standards Committee establishment reviews, and the spring membership intake cycle. The TrixieUpdate newsletter will continue in digital form. The website will remain operational.
The Society will resume in-person operations when the public health situation permits. The bar will be the first thing opened.
