The Lincoln Park Trixie Society formally endorsed Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games, joining what Executive Director Ashley Munroe described as "a campaign that aligns perfectly with the Society's belief that Chicago is, objectively, the finest city in the world."
Ashley Munroe, who serves in an advisory capacity with the Chicago 2016 Bid Committee, noted that the Olympics would represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity to introduce the international community to Lincoln Park, "where they will discover the finest neighborhood on the planet and, more importantly, the finest brunch."
The Society has pledged to host a viewing party for the IOC announcement, scheduled for October 2009. Dress code will be enforced.
