LINCOLN PARK, IL
– May 14 – The Lincoln Park Trixie Society today releases it’s new website, projected to serve the Society over the next one to two years.
Ashley Munroe, the Society’s Director of Communications, spearheaded the effort. Ashley Munroe, the Society’s Executive Director Emeritus and former Executive Director, acted as a consultant on the project. Miss Munroe was the driving force behind the first Trixie website, which was responsible for tripling membership over a short period in late 2000.
“This project was a large undertaking, but will prove incredibly beneficial in the long run,” commented Miss Burke. “We’ve redesigned our home page to make it quicker and easier for Trixies to find what they’re looking for without having to work at it, without having to dig through any dirt. Additionally, we’ve designed a flash animation that truly showcases what the Society is all about.” Among the new features included in the re-design are a village events calendar, a web-based poll with questions of value to Trixies and TrixieMales, and an archive of past TrixieMail newsletters.
“We were smart enough to build some really exciting dynamic features, so that our execlusive members didn’t have to work too hard at updating the site,” commented webmaster Brian O’Halloran. “Most of the new features, such as the poll, events calendar and the Ask Ashley forum are maintainable by the girls in the office, which should prove extremely benefitial in the long run. It took some major cooperation between the relatively new members of the executive board.
We still have some small bugs to work out, but overall, everything looks very, very good.”
