The Society has released the Four-Star Cuff Beanie — a heavyweight knit cap in pure white, bearing four embroidered Trixie Stars in society red across the cuff.
The Beanie is the Society's first cold-weather garment in regular production. The four red stars will look familiar to anyone who knows the Chicago flag. The Committee spent rather longer discussing their spacing than the season required.
What it is
Heavyweight knit, with a double-layer cuff and embroidered stars. The Society has wash-tested the cap and found that it returns to shape. Members also tried it during an outdoor coffee; it stayed over their ears.
“I would like one that stays over my ears when I turn my head.”
How to wear it
Fold the cuff once, with the stars visible. The Committee recommends taking it off when coats are checked, although several Members would prefer to look in a mirror first.
The Beanie joins the Tote, Tee, Mug, Pocketbook, and Sticker in the Shop. Members may send suggestions for the next cold-weather item to the Committee.
