A Society-Endorsed Flagship Service

Doodle ownership. On demand.
By the hour.

Members wanted a dog for the walk, the photograph, and the afternoon at home. Several were less certain about February mornings. The Doodle Pool arranges reserved time with a groomed, trained doodle, delivered and collected by its staff. Members choose the visit; the Pool handles the continuing care.

She wanted the photograph at the dog park. She did not want the 6:00 AM bathroom break in February.

— THE DOODLE POOL FOUNDING BRIEF
How it works

Four steps. One doodle.

Members book a doodle for a particular visit. Pool staff handle the preparation and transport, with different dogs suited to different plans. A quiet afternoon at home and a family photograph do not necessarily require the same volunteer.

i.

Request

Open the Pool app. Select a date, a duration, and a doodle from the active Roster. Members in the Premier tier may filter by coat color, temperament, and Instagram potential.

ii.

Match

The Pool's matching algorithm pairs you with a doodle whose disposition aligns with your stated need. "Walking the kids to school" and "professional headshots in the park" produce different matches.

iii.

Delivery

A Pool Concierge delivers the doodle to your door, fully fed, freshly bathed, and fitted with a Pool-issued harness in your choice of color. Standard delivery window: 15 minutes.

iv.

Return

At session end, the Concierge returns to collect the doodle. No grooming, no vet bills, no boarding fees, no 6:00 AM walks. The doodle is the Pool's. The photographs are yours.

— A Note on Legacy —

Founded in spirit by Lincoln Park Labs.

The Pool traces its beginnings to Lincoln Park Labs, the neighborhood arrangement through which Society-adjacent households shared labrador retrievers. There was a handwritten agreement, a Yahoo Groups list, and a good deal of checking who had the dog.

The preferred breed has changed, and reservations are more elaborate. The old idea remains familiar: households arranging time with a dog while someone remembers the food, the walks, and when it is due home.

Several Members still ask after the original labs.

— A sincere note —

If you are ready to add a dog to your household, the Society asks you to consider adoption. Take time to find a dog whose needs fit the life you can offer.
