– The Lincoln Park Trixie Society is pleased to announce that it has received tremendous positive feedback regarding the new Trixie Forums feature on the Society’s website.

Since the Forums were first introduced more than 300 discussion topics have ensued, garnering some 5000 responses.

While the forums have been incredibly beneficial, they have also proven to be a target for repeated disruptive posts. To combat this trend, the Society introduced a content policy on June 25th, creating the position of Forums Content Manager which has been staffed by intern Catherine Monaghan.

In the past three weeks, Miss Monaghan has rightfully removed some 100+ postings which were defamatory, purely inappropriate or otherwise destructive to the Trixie Lifestyle.

Surprisingly, an analysis of these posts by the Society’s technical staff indicates that nearly eighty percent of them originated from individuals at

George

Mason

University

, an institution of higher learning somewhere on the east coast. In order to protect our Trixies and our website, the Society has, for the first time, taken steps to ban all incoming forum posts from individuals at this organization.

The Society will continue to monitor any grossly inappropriate posts and may take steps to ban other organizations as well.

“I was totally shocked last night when I reviewed the forums, only to find many repeated posts of a message that slightly resembled the Unabomber’s Manifesto in length and perhaps in content, had I taken the time to actually read it,” stated Jill Martin, the Society’s Director of Membership. “I quickly notified Catherine and asked her to take the posts down, and then called the website people to find out where it came from,” Jill continued, “I was familiar with George Mason; we had been discussing them in the office for the past two weeks.

Many of the repeated messages appearing on the forums originated from that organization.”

The Society has created a

list of organizations and individials

who have been banned from posting to the Forums.
