TrixieUpdate

Dear Members and Friends,

It’s this time of year that I relish the simple task of piloting my Jetta into the Starbucks at North & Sheffield after a long Saturday morning of shopping, and ordering the drink of the season: a Grande Gingerbread Eggnog Latte. With the fire crackling in the background, and the mounds of kitschy merchandise on the shelves, this seemingly innocuous task makes it all come into focus: this is why we live in Lincoln Park in the first place.

Don’t miss our

Tips for a Wonderful Holiday Season

, a feature by membership director, Jill Martin.

As the Society enters another holiday season, we reflect back on some of the many things that make Lincoln Park so wonderful…

…shopping only the best chain stores at North & Clybourn.

…walking our large dogs at Wiggly Park, with the opportunity to pick up the glance of a well-to-do TrixieMale who might be interested in a new relationship.

…Downing cranberry vodkas at the Marquee Lounge with the snow falling outside the window.

…Dinner with best friends at Tilly’s with the fire crackling and tales of new Ann Taylor blouses and office gossip told among friends.

…Recollection of our college days, driving that old beat up Civic in Muncie, IN or Snellville, IA… remembering the days from yesteryear when we only relished being the sophisticated city dwellers that we are now.

…The opportunity to be the best, perkiest Trixie in the Day Spa… or the most impressive, best-dressed Kenneth Cole clad TrixieMale consultant at work.

Best Regards for a prosperous holiday season,

Abigail Kendrick O’Rourke
