The Holidays are the best time to get involved with the Society. Do you know a friend who probably should be a member, but isn’t? Use the Society’s website to nominate that friend for membership!
DELUGED WITH INQUIRIES!
Ever since FOX NEWS profiled the Society on November 6th, election eve, the Society and Membership Committee have been SWAMPED with mail! We have received over 600 new membership applications, including 224 new applications for the new TrixieMale membership level. In order to process these applications, the Membership Committee went on a 4-day retreat to Melissa Miller’s quaint new
cabin in Door County, Wisconsin. The committee hopes to make initial decisions on these new applications by December 1st, and understands and appreciates the anxiety that prospective applicants feel as the committee determines their future with the Society. Acceptances and rejections will be published on a rolling basis as decisions are made.
NEW SONG DEDICATED TO TRIXIES
Some guy living in Bucktown (far from the true borders of the village) apparently has published a little tune about his dating difficulties with Trixies. When you visit this page, be sure to click on the “Trixie” link to download his song.
THE SOCIETY TO WELCOME IKEA TO THE VILLAGE
As we reported last week, IKEA is planning to open a new superstore on the outskirts of the Village, over near Elston and Ashland. For those of you who jet around the Clybourn/Webster district, that’s just 1/2 mile west on Webster, over the bridge at Elston. Society members are excited, both to have this new wonderland at their doorsteps, and also since the Store is locating on the far west edge of the Village, keeping some of the extra traffic away from our beloved Clybourn Corridor Shopping Mecca.
