Dear Members and Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Ashley Burke, the Society’s new Director of Communications and Public Relations. I’ll be taking over the day-to-day operations of the website now that Ashley Munroe has begun her maternity leave, with the expert assistance of our Webmaster, Brian OHalloran. An important part of my work will be the assumption of the “Ask Ashley” section of the website, which will now address questions and emails to me. Some new changes to our website include:
* Addition of detailed profiles for the newly elected board members.
* Addition of a “Trixie Messenger” where you can send a message to any board member online.
Here is whats happening this week:
FOX NEWS TO PROFILE THE LPTS
The board has been notified that FOX NEWS CHICAGO will profile the Society tonight (11/6) at 9:00 P.M. immediately following Ally McBeal (a favorite among Trixies seeking a Lawyer boyfriend). Because of our recent board member elections and change of staff, the Society was not able to participate formally in the interview, but many society members were interviewed out around the Village.
LPTS INTRODUCES A NEW MEMBERSHIP FOR MEN
By a historic four to one vote, the board voted to allow men to join the Society, ending the organization’s women-only tradition. A new membership category has been established called the TrixieMale, and a new application is available online for the new level of membership. The Society is planning to present profiles on prospective TrixieMales in the near future.
